''La Glorieta Chapalita''

The glorieta chapalita is a roundabout where people can just go out for a walk and have fun with their family. It is located in Avenida Guadalupe, and its one of the most famous roundabouts in Guadalajara.

It is a really nice place to visit, it has lots of garndens, a small kiosko and statues.

This place is also well known because on sundays, artist expose their paints all around the roundabout, people go out and get some ice cream or corn, and just have a nice chill sunday.

So in my opinion, if you want to spend a nice day with your family, walk around and eat some good stuff, visit La Glorieta Chapalita and have fun (:

Teenagers and internet addiction

The internet has been one of the biggest ways of communication since it was created in the 1950s, this way of communication grew, in the 1990s there was a huge growth when new communication systems appeared like Mail and instant messaging.
The real problem to all of this started when social media was created, teens seemed to get lost in this and some of them forget the what the real use of the internet is.
The internet has become part of our lives. About 90% of American teenagers use the net. Most of these kids visit websites to get information for their homework. Some others post their profiles on MySpace, visit chatrooms and send e-mails.
Internet is actually an incredible tool for research and work, this usage has disappeared a little when teens only use it for the social networking, this has become a massive problem considering that they live inside the web. This is not only wrong because they won't do anything else, there are loads of problems coming from that.

Here are some drawbacks:

       Less Face-to-Face Communication
  • Most of the time now, teens don't want to go out of their room preferring to stay and update their status on twitter or facebook, reblogging pictures from tumblr or even watching videos from youtube, sometimes they just rather talking to a person through facebook than personally, this has grown to be a problem that parents are facing now with their kids.

      Cyberbullying

  • Teens sometimes use the Internet to bully other teens. Sometimes it starts with insulting someone or sharing personal information about another teen on social networking sites just to embarrass them. This type of harassment is one of the main reasons of teen suicides. Since this growth of the internet teen suicides have increased dramatically worrying our society, trying to stop them creating associations to stop the cyberbullying, it won't stop until the attackers stop trying to make fun of people and ridiculizating them over the red.

    Teen Suicides/Eating disorders

Like i mentioned, teen suicides have increased in these last years, i'm saying that the internet has a big part on this actions. Social media such as Tumblr, Facebook or even Twitter and others have a big part in this.
For example: Tumblr, the popular posts in that site are mainly ''pretty'' girls and the concept of ''pretty'' is being skinny, having perfect skin, perfect clothes and being just perfect and its the same with guys, when tumblr users reblog these posts some of them just get ''sad'' because they can't be like them so they start getting self conscious, trying everything to be skinny and here's when the eating disorders appear. It's not a common thing but it happens, i'm not saying that people should stop reblogging those things because they won't stop, so  that makes it a big problem where the teen is exposed to various consequences by this.

    Problems in school

The addiction teenagers have with the internet has gone to the point where they fail their classes because they won't study, or won't do homework and in an extreme case just won't go to school, this is terrible considering someone's life is practically based on their studies and the fact that some teens won't take it seriously because they can't get away from their social media sucks.

But not everything about the Internet is bad, this is an amazing tool for work and the only bad thing is that people won't appreciate and won't give it a good and positive usage. Internet was created to communicate and investigate but once technology started growing so did this tool that became space for social media and social media opened a ''whole new world'' for teens and people.

So i think that the biggest problem is people not giving this an appropriate usage which is causing several problems like the ones i mentioned before. This built a wall between people and with that, causing kidnaps, child pornography and pornography in general, people stealing money, the web is not a safe place for anyone so if you're gonna use it there should be boundaries set so it won't exceed the usage and cause more problems.

GUADALAJARA

The original town of Guadalajara was founded on January 5, 1532 by Crístobal de Oñate, on the Mesa del Cerro, near the border of Nochistlán in the province of the Teú. The name Guadalajara was chosen after the birthplace of Nuño de Guzmán in Spain. The town lasted for only a short time at this site. Guzmán, Crístobal de Oñate, Miguel de Ibarra and Sancho Ortiz decided to relocate to a place where there would be more water, fewer dust storms and better transportation. By August 8, 1533 they had moved the town to it's second location, near Tonalá. Two years later, in March 1535, they again moved the town to a new location. After an large attack by natives on September 28, 1541, during the War of the Mixtón, they decided once more to relocate the city to a more defensible location. They chose Guadalajara's present location, in the valley of Atemajac, along the San Juan de Dios river.

I'm proud of being tapatia because i think Guadalajara is one of the best cities in Mexico, and one of the biggest ones. Also, here in Guadalajara is where we have the best Tortas Ahogadas, which is one of the best mexican food, we have Tequila and we have lots of places to go and have fun with our friends and family. Con Comics

When i got to the Con Comics it was really fun, i saw a lot of people dressed as something weird and people were dressed as something weird and people were selling a bunch of things, i think the price of the ticket get in is kind of expensive considering that the space is really small, but it was cool.

I had a lot of fun there, you don't get bored that easy, even if its small, there's always something nice to see, i didn't buy anything but they were weird candies and games and they were also really expensive.
People were dressed as some weird anime characters, i've never seen most of those characters in my life which made it weirder, they had color wigs and long  haired black wigs, the people were really nice if you asked them for pictures.
The craziest things, besides everyone dressing up as weird non- existing creatures, was the karaoke, people would go up on the stage and sing anime songs or k-pop, and once they played the dragon ball z theme everyone seemed to stop and sang it, they would sing the song in Japanese  which made it weirder.
In my personal opinion, i would go back and even if its filled up with weird people, they're nice and creative, some costumes were really cool and it was really fun to go to a totally different thing from. I don't think im too exited about paying for the ticket but it was a fun experience, you learn a lot of stuff you didn't know or you get stucked in that you thought was anime because you didn't understand anything about that convention i found it strange but entertaining.

North Korea and South Korea conflict

North Korea said Saturday it had entered "a state of war" with South Korea in its latest threat aimed at the United States and its ally after two American B-2 bombers flew a training mission in the region.

On Thursday, US military officials revealed that two B-2 stealth bombers dropped dummy munitions on an uninhabited South Korean island as part of annual defense drills that Pyongyang sees as rehearsals for invasion.
North Korea said in a statement that it would deal with South Korea according to "wartime regulations" and would retaliate against any provocations by the United States and South Korea without notice.
North Korea has previously made such threats about Kaesong without acting on them, and recent weeks have seen a torrent of bellicose rhetoric from Pyongyang. North Korea is angry about the South Korea-US military drills and new UN sanctions over its nuclear test last month.

Now this has become a big thing, Canada and Mexico are in fear because the North korea has threaten them to throw missiles to their country and the US is between Canada and Mexico and anything can be wrong. So i just hope this war doesnt go too far so there's no problems and no innocent people dying.
